About Me
Xander Coleman is a full-time hardware engineer and part-time lighting designer currently based in the Tokyo area.
Xander started studying Lighting design at Phillips Exeter Academy and continued throughout his time at Northeastern University. He designed for NUStage Musical Theater Company, NUDANCO (Northeastern University Dance Company), Northeastern Shakespeare Society, The Northeastern Theatre Department, and Funktion X (Hip-Hop Dance Showcase hosted by Kinematix Dance Troupe). He has also served as a technician, electrician, board operator, stage manager, and assistant lighting designer on numerous shows. Most recently, he has worked as a lighting designer and technician with the Yokohama Theater Group and with Tokyo International Players. Xander made his main-stage directorial debut in May 2023 with Tokyo International Player's production of Pride and Prejudice. |
